COVID-19 Protocol
Your safety is our highest priority. We are still careful about the pandemic-related protocols for travel internationally.

Fortunately, as elsewhere, the incidence of COVID-19 within Namibia has considerably decreased, and there are no significant new cases being reported daily. Even the Namibian government has relaxed its conditions. Travel to Namibia has been FULLY OPEN and marked SAFE. The condition for entry to Namibia now is being FULLY VACCINATED. Please carry a copy of your certificate.

However, we expect you to be FULLY vaccinated and continue wearing masks during the astronomy tour, in the welfare of other participants., especially young kids.

Please note that Astronomy Journeys does not expect any participant to cause covid-related inconvenience to other participants in its programmes and requests all participants to exercise caution.

Any other particular details will be communicated with the confirmed participants at the time of booking.
About The Event
From June 23 to July 2, we are travelling to Namibia to experience staggering desert landscapes and even further staggering starry night skies, one of the best in the southern hemisphere.
This is an Astronomy tour aimed especially for newcomers into astronomy, from families, individuals, couples and general enthusiasts of Astronomy who want to learn the night sky from one of India's BEST night sky specialists. While 8 days of the tour will be given for recreation and relaxation, the 3 nights of June 28, 29, 30 will be dedicated to learning the night sky by laying down under it and observing with 10x50 binoculars with star charts/atlases.
Here the participants will get to involve in hands-on observing and learn how to maximize the potential of small binoculars into making some important celestial observations – and thereby learn how experienced international visual observers maximize even small instruments into making scientific discoveries. At the end of 3 nights, you'll not anymore be new to the landscape of the night sky and its constellations as well as making sky observations, ready to step onto the next level of observational / practical astronomy.
Join Astronomy Journeys to experience the indescribable Namibian night sky like how literally no one in India can show it to you – it is NOT a mere hobby or sky-gazing for us, we are VERY well-versed in speaking the language of the night sky and its 'deep sky objects' (DSOs) for the last 20 years full-time.
